Communities Project Impact Leadership Training

Hosted by the Virginia Association of Recovery Residences (VARR), this is a DBHDS Year of the Peer 2023 event.
This a 2-day, in-person training held at the Holiday Inn located at 2000 Staples Mill Rd, Richmond, VA 23230.

- November 3: 9am-2pm

The Communities Project’s Impact Leadership training is centered around the following beliefs:
- Leadership is a natural expression – we do not “create” leaders
- Leadership development is the process by which an individual determines how they are blocking themselves from their desired results
- When leaders identify their own roadblocks to success, they are able to achieve stronger outcomes, and aid more individuals in their efforts
Our training is not designed to “teach” individuals how to engage in any specific activity. Rather, our training focuses on the following principles as a guideline to produce stronger results in that process:
- Leading with responsibility
- Being Self Reflective & Seeking Feedback
- Speaking to the Leader in Everyone
